A walk in the park

The temp in Seattle hit 70 F this weekend -- wahoo!

My parents took this opportunity to saddle me with this spiffy carrier so that I can carry my tennis balls, chuckit, and frisbee.

But they did take it off long enough for me to go for a nice swim in the lake.

And they took it off for me to catch some frisbee in the park.

I'm not sure, but I think maybe it makes me look like a crossing guard.

Are you kidding? I'm ready for Mt. Rainier with this thing on.

Spring in the air

With the weather getting nicer, I'm starting to get some quality time in with the ball.

There is very little in this world that gives me more pleasure than chasing a slobbery tennis ball on a brisk spring day.

It doesn't get much better than this, to be honest.

This is my cousin Beatrice, a.k.a. "Peaches." She has the most beautiful green eyes ?!? I think I need a smooth-haired fox terrier filter for my camera. But she really knows how to chase down a ping pong ball, that's for sure. Keep on keepin' on, B.

A little frisbee in the yard

This weekend I got to catch a few in the yard.

Here I am, ready to go.

Come ON, throw it already!

Wait for it . . .

Got it.

That's all for this week. Thanks for watching!

Vacation

This week I got a little vacation from the parents while they went to a wedding in Cabo San Lucas.

This is San Jose del Cabo. It doesn't look like it rains there at all. Weird. Back in Seattle, the rain is just getting started, which lets me get nice and muddy when I go out to run around.

Here is where the wedding was held. It looks pretty nice. I would like to go there and chase my frisbee in the waves. Or maybe two or three tennis balls.

The dogs in Cabo are very interesting looking. That's some nice ink. I have tattoo also, from when I was born in Mexico. It says R9089B, that's me.

Overall, it looks like a nice place, but I'll just be glad when mom and dad get back to start throwing the frisbee again.

A day at the Arboretum

Today I went to the Arboretum to celebrate daylight savings time. I like daylight because that's mostly when I get to run after things that my mom and/or dad throw for me. Those are Hellebores behind me -- I don't chase them but they tell me that Spring is almost here.

We met my friend Alice the Greyhound and Katy the nervous little black dog. This is Alice; she somehow managed to leave the boys at home. Maybe that's why she was the number two Greyhound in Florida a few years back.

Here Alice is a little tired. She was a real trooper today, considering her corns and all. I don't know what corns are but I hope I don't get them when I'm Alice's age.

Here is Alice after our walk. I think she is very photogenic.

This is Katy. She seemed to have a pretty good time, but she's a little bit shy.

I think Katy needs to cut back on the caffeine (click on the picture to enlarge for the full effect).

I got to play with my heave-a-beaver during the walk.

It's a pretty fun toy; my dad's camera has a hard time keeping up with me when I play with it.

So sometimes I just hover in midair so that he can get a good picture.

This is kinda fun

I thought I'd put up a few more of my old pictures, including one of my favorites: still life with Malinois and frisbee. I'm excited for spring because that means the days get longer and that means more time for frisbee and walkies.

Here we go

Here are a couple of pics of me -- one in the yard and one inside. Yes, that's me sleeping in the daytime. It doesn't happen very often, but I like the humans to think that I have limits.
