A day at the Arboretum

Today I went to the Arboretum to celebrate daylight savings time. I like daylight because that's mostly when I get to run after things that my mom and/or dad throw for me. Those are Hellebores behind me -- I don't chase them but they tell me that Spring is almost here.

We met my friend Alice the Greyhound and Katy the nervous little black dog. This is Alice; she somehow managed to leave the boys at home. Maybe that's why she was the number two Greyhound in Florida a few years back.

Here Alice is a little tired. She was a real trooper today, considering her corns and all. I don't know what corns are but I hope I don't get them when I'm Alice's age.

Here is Alice after our walk. I think she is very photogenic.

This is Katy. She seemed to have a pretty good time, but she's a little bit shy.

I think Katy needs to cut back on the caffeine (click on the picture to enlarge for the full effect).

I got to play with my heave-a-beaver during the walk.

It's a pretty fun toy; my dad's camera has a hard time keeping up with me when I play with it.

So sometimes I just hover in midair so that he can get a good picture.

I had a heave a beaver too until I destroyed it. I think the last picture looks really cool and I am glad that your parents take you cool places. Mine have been really boring recently.

Snick, you look very charming posed in front of the hellebores. Remember to be a good girl and don't bark at Eleanor.
